Full form of the word CUET is the Common University Entrance Test. As the name suggests, it is a common entrance exam for all the universities in India. The exam covers all types of courses, including undergraduate, post-graduate, and integrated courses in universities. Well, there are many things to know about CUET that will be covered in the article. Understand the CUET: Exam Pattern, Syllabus, etc

Earlier known as the Central University Entrance Test, it was started back in 2010. The propose of this entrance exam was to cater to all the students who want to take admission in centre universities. At that time, through this exam, students could take admission in 12 central universities across the country. Changes have taken place with time, and till now a lot has changed in this CUET.

In 2021, the exam name is replaced with the Common University Entrance Test, and many other things as well. Now, the exam covers 45 (CUET UG), 34 (CUET PG) central universities, 11 state universities, 7 Deemed Universities, and some other private universities.

Exam Body of CUET: Earlier, till 2021, the exam body of CUET was Rajasthan Central University. And from 2021, the exam is conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). Well, the credit for all changes in CUET goes to the NTA.

Programme & Courses in CUET: Universities under CUET cover both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. Moreover, many integrated courses are offered by various universities. Coming to the course in CUET, we can name all the courses because there is a wide range of courses covered in CUET, but most of the Bachelors and Masters courses are provided in universities. Exam Pattern, Mode, Syllabus, and Time Duration: The CUET (UG) is conducted online in computer-based test mode. The exam pattern of CUET (UG) includes three sections. The first section has two parts: 1-B has 13 language options, and 2-B has 20 language options. Moreover, the second section has 27 various subjects. The last section, the 3rd section, is for the general test. All the questions are MCQ type in all sections. In 45 Minutes, students have to answer 45 questions out of 50 in the first and second sections. And in the last section, students will have 60 minutes and 50 answers to be answered out of 60.

Section 1st	Reading Comprehension(RC), Grammar, books, name of the authors, etc
Section 2nd	Complete class 12th NCERT syllabus according to the subject choice.
Section 3rd	General awareness, Numerical abilities, Logical Reasoning, etc.

CUET UG Marking Scheme: The marking system in very simple; for each right answer, 5 marks will be counted, and for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. However, the marking system is the same for the PG programme as well.

The application window for CUET 2024 Are Live

In case you are not updated, the NTA has opened the registration window for CUET 2024. NTA started to accept online registrations on 27th February 2024, and it will go continuously till the 26th March 2024, which is apparently the last date for CUET 2024 registration.

Let you know, the official notification of CUET from NTA: the exam of CUET will start on May 15th 2024. The exam will last for a total of 17 days, which means it will end on May 31st 2024.
